Security footage captured a Tesla Model S getting an incredible amount of air after speeding over railroad tracks in Barrie, Ontario yesterday. The car lost control on landing, and crashed into the parking lot of an elementary school. The driver was reportedly charged with dangerous...View more »
When it came time to map out The A.V. Club’s Unconventional Family Week, a roadblock was reached: What makes a family unconventional, anyway? Do makeshift clans, like the gang at Cheers or the Toy Story toys, fit the bill? In an effort to dispel confusion on all sides, we decided to define our terms, beginning with the one thing that’s present in all unconventional families, from Adam and...View more »

They’re two of the first words we ever learn. We use them every day and, in many cases, probably don’t even think about it. They can be used to agree to life-changing events or get out of horrible situations. They can also be used to hilarious effect when edited and counted in all 10 Star Wars movies.
I’m talking, of course, of “Yes” and “No.” And the new Star Wars Kids YouTube put up an...View more »
One of the most interesting questions about M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming Glass feature is just how big the film’s stakes are going to get, considering that it features on a evil super genius, an unbreakable man, and a being who might as well be a near-invulnerable demon. There are a number of...View more »

I don’t even like beer. AND EVERY GODDAMN YEAR THESE COMMERCIALS MOVE ME (usually to tears).
I know much of it is fictionalized. I know they probably started production on it in October. But damn if this isn’t perfect fucking timing.
Also I love the Clydesdales at the riverbank. And the dude saying “Welcome to St. Louis, son.” gets me right in the feels growing up here.
I ran across this while I was watching old Filmation toons on YouTube. I can’t vouch for its completeness, but it’s got everything I was aware of plus a fair bit more. (There was a Human Target series starring Rick Springfield? Shit, was I just asleep through the entire 1990s?!) They evidently put it up before Legends of Tomorrow came out, which might be for the best.
Edit: Oh, and they were...View more »
Super high speeds. The most advanced technology humanity could devise. And crowds literally reaching out to touch the cars. This is what Group B rallying is about, and if you don’t love it after watching this, then you only have yourself to blame.
Group B racing of the 1980s was probably the most popular that...View more »
Let me be very clear, I love Belly. I love love it. When Mary J. Blige sang about “Real Love” in 1992, a whole ass six years before Belly would be released to the masses, she had no idea that she was singing my soul’s affinity for Hype Williams’ best music video ever. And what’s not to love? For a person like myself, who is almost always with the shits, Belly was ‘pacifically crafted for me....View more »
I’m not sure if this short was also directed by Taika Waititi, but I want to see more humorous bits where Cate Blancett basically ignores everyone from the MCU. “Robert Downey who? I can’t be bothered to remember everybody’s names. That’s why I’ve got two Oscars, three Golden Globes, and an Order of Australia.”
Also, here is Cate Blanchett describing what “Ragnarok” is:
