And it would appear that the TS050 drivetrain doesn't work without it's steering wheel. Toyota's solution for testing? Just take the steering wheel from a TS050 and stick it in the middle of the dash.
I would have been perfect. Take the i3, throw some MINI styling cues and quirks on it and then you have an electric MINI city car. It seems odd to me with all the talks of MINI going heavily electric that BMW hasn't done this. Only reason I can see is that the composite construction of the i3 might make it more…
“How much computing power do you need?”
The Mini’s transmission is making some horrifying noises, the bearings are completely shot. I just need it to not go pop for a few more weeks...
This looks really good. Not sure if white or silver would go best on a blue car.
In my quest to find a new daily driver I mad the trip over to my local Toyota dealer to try one of the new Corolla Hatchbacks with the 6 speed. I really, really, liked it. A blue SE model is very likely going to be my new daily.
Where did my notifications go?
Watching Jimmy Broadbent’s iRacing Indy 500 stream when suddenly an AntiSpeed appears!
Just my dream car in my dream configuration at NHMS at the same time I was last weekend. Ultraviolet over black wheels and yellow calipers. Red tail light lenses to which I much prefer over the clear option.
I don't like it. Why would this even be a thing? Who puts the tachometer in the center of the dash?
2001 Subaru Outback. 2.5L backed up by the 4 speed automatic. A proper battlewagon of a car. It was slow and tried to kill me with gas fumes every time the temperature dropped below 15f but she had plenty of character. A good first car for both myself and my sister, and I do miss it from time to time (sold to a Subaru…
I had nothing to do this afternoon and my local Subaru dealer had a base model 5 speed listed for sale. For giggles and because I was bored I decided to swing by and see if I could take it for a test drive. The 5 speed wasn’t available to test drive so I took a CVT equipped Sport hatch out instead. I liked it?
The car is getting so close. Just need to figure out a few controller things so it is as quick as it should be. The Rinehart motor controller is capping itself to 32.9Nm despite us sending it commands for 150Nm. Explains why the car is so slow, can't figure out why that would be the case though.
My schools Formula Hybrid team bent our motor mount tonight. The mad dash begins to source material and fabricate a new one tomorrow before the car goes to competition on Sunday.
Ditched the clear visor on my helmet in favor of a tint. I might actually start using the visor for something other than my limited open cockpit activities now.
It’s only about $3-4k of stuff for a car that’s only worth about $2500.
Went to look at that Cooper S today. It was mechanically perfect, and cosemetically great. One notable exception though. Rear tail lights are showing a bit of rust which means the buckets are fubar. I really liked the car otherwise though.
Is Disney actually dumb enough to reveal Rey as a Skywalker in the title of Episode IX? Yes, this is the official title revealed today.
