Changing Air Filters to Rebuilding Calipers, a short story Changing Air Filters to Rebuilding Calipers, a short story

So, before I bought this E46, I made a promise to myself that I’d use the fact that this is a car that will have typically higher repair / parts costs as a reason to attempt to do the majority of the work myself.

Spent Saturday Fixing Things! Spent Saturday Fixing Things!

My e46 had needed new front rotors since I’ve bought her - they were slightly warped, but there’s so much brake material left that I figured I’d just need new rotors. So yesterday, I replaced them. It was a super easy process, and my first time tearing into brakes.

I love my car, but I need to figure out this rumbling noise... I love my car, but I need to figure out this rumbling noise...

So, had the E46 back in the shop a week or so ago to hopefully (finally) diagnose the “subwoofer-esque” noise I’m heading at 55-60 MPH. It’s not a vibration, it’s a deep HMMMMMMMM, which is what’s making it difficult.

Has Anyone Rented From Hertz Adrenaline Collection? Has Anyone Rented From Hertz Adrenaline Collection?

Headed to RDU this weekend for a wedding, and have 2 reserations booked - one “Muscle Car Adrenaline Collection”, which can be either a Mustang GT, Camaro SS, or Challenger R/T (I’d prefer the Mustang or Camaro), and a basic generic car.

The Struggle Of Finding A Good Indie Shop [UPDATE]

Would love for someone to check me on this, to know if this is a fair reason to be stressed / mildly upset.

Everything Wrong With My 2002 BMW 325i (And maybe you can help!) Everything Wrong With My 2002 BMW 325i (And maybe you can help!)

It’s been about a month since I picked up my 1 owner, low mileage, close to my apartment BMW 325i, and so far, I’m a huge fan of it. Here’s a picture to catch your attention. I need to take some interior photos. (NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH WHOOOO)

I (think) I Figured Out The Vibration Problem (And other BMW notes)

Freshly back from my trip, I brought Jerry (this what we’ve decided the car’s name is), my 2002 325i in for an oil change, and to investigate the 55-65mph rumble I was experiencing.

Oppo, I did something against your recommendation. Oppo, I did something against your recommendation.

I bought it. I bought the E46 I looked at last week.

Oppo, talk me out of this.

I haven’t really owned a car in 2 or 3 years at this point (besides my 5 month stint with that Civic), and am constantly finding a small void in my life. I came across this:

I might do a thing today. talk me out of, or into it.

Update: it was a great car, I just can’t justify it

Thanks Oppo, now I have a Suburban for a week  Thanks Oppo, now I have a Suburban for a week

And got LUCKY with parking. I originally squeezed into a MUCH smaller space, but decided I’d be stuck if any car around me moved (like, a 15 point back and forth for the parallel park) and then found this oversized spot that was perfect and close to my apt. I’ll write a review after our road trip with it.

So, next weekend - Memorial Day weekend - a few friends and I are road tripping from NYC, to a friend’s place in Cape Cod, MA. After analyzing all our choices, renting a car [read: large SUV] is our cheapest (and most fun) option. Being the car lover of the group, I jumped on the opportunity to pick & drive the…

Opinons on the 2011 Jetta with 2.5 5Cyl?

Annnnnnnnd, potentially looking to buy a car again. I miss the freedom, and the fun, but am looking for something sub 5k, that’ll be decent with insurance and that the girlfriend can drive if she needs to (automatic, unfortunately)

This Craigslist Ad...

I don’t know what to say. It’s definitely not real but... why?

Annnnnnd just like that...

Karl the Civic is gone. Sold him last night to someone from high school. Time to change my username. Pouring one out for the homie.

Anyone around the NYC Area looking for A Civic? Anyone around the NYC Area looking for A Civic?

Whelp. It’s that time again. Time to sell the car. The girlfriend and I can’t justify the insurance it costs (because of my prior accident in my Focus ST) for a car we use MAYBE once a month. This thing is great, and at only 103,500 miles, it’ll run forever. Let me know if you’re interested. Sorry if this is a bit of…

A Review of My 2004 Civic... VS my old Focus ST A Review of My 2004 Civic... VS my old Focus ST

It’s been somewhere around a month (judging by the fact that I’ve payed Geico twice) that I’ve owned my new-to-me 2004 Civic, so I wanted to give some first impressions - and why not compare it to my previous car (well, before the Jeep), a 2013 Focus ST (ST2 Package, if that matters).

Well Oppo, Here She Is. My New (USED) Car. Well Oppo, Here She Is. My New (USED) Car.

After a week of title-stress [owner had requested a duplicate title because he couldn’t find the original, then found the original and that’s what I took to the NYS DMV, where they told me I had to wait for the duplicate] I finally was able to register & plate the car on Friday.

Whelp, it's mine! I'm back with a car, Oppo! Whelp, it's mine! I'm back with a car, Oppo!

After not having a vehicle for almost 2 years, today I bought a 2004 Honda Civic EX Coupe. It’s got 101k miles, an automatic transmission (joint purchase) and only one prior owner.
