I found the whole Euro Speed set at Target the other day and these were the two that came with me! The livery on the M1 is just fantastic.
Found all these nice shiny things at Walmart a couple of days ago! I was afraid I wouldn’t get that purple Skyline. I had to look through 5 smaller dump bins before I found one buried.
Just a few of my favorite Hot Wheels 510s on this May 10th!
Thanks to Ryan my Tomica Town has grown from a lone parking lot to an entire block!
Back in March, I went on vacation to Japan with a few friends from college. It was an absolute blast and anyone that wants to travel internationally should defintiely put this wonderful country high on their list of places to visit.
More like an 8 hour rule. This is a 1/64 Modifiers Mitsubishi Eclipse.
A new brand joins my collection, and it’s a good one! This is Neo Scale Models’ 1/64 Lincoln Continental Mark V. It’s a sealed resin model in true 1/64, so it’s quite large but also quite light.
I never gave these Toyota vans from Tomica a second look until I visited Japan last month. The newer models are pretty overstyled and they grab your attention. I kinda like them, so these Tomicas came home with me. In order, they are the Vellfire, Voxy, and Alphard.
Well, I should have quit die-cast completely for the year after my massive HAWL from Japan. Alas, that’s not how addictions work! First up, this trio of Auto Worlds. This is the best version of the Kingswood Estate by a mile in my opinion.
This is Malibu International’s Lamborghini Gallardo in 1/64 scale. Malibu International was a brand that was sold in Walmarts some ten years ago. The castings were from a company called High Speed and at the time they were excellent, especially considering their retail price. But how do they hold up today? Let’s find…
One of the more interesting pieces I picked up in Japan, this is a Tomica Toyota Celsior that was a promo for the Osaka Motor show back in...well...I don’t really know which year!
Because how can you have this pair and not take a picture of them together?
I recently completed the trio of Kyosho TVR Sagaris’. Thanks Tokyo! Figured I would pull them all out for a couple of quick pics.
This is Ignition Model’s SA Mazda RX-7. It’s a sealed resin model in 1/43 scale and it is absolutely gorgeous.
Japan is amazing. I returned home from my trip late last night and have been unpacking and going through my finds today. For now I am just going to post my finds, but you can expect more on die-cast hunting in Japan in the near future.
Finally got my Car Culture set today. It arrived the day I left for Japan and has been sitting in my apartment office for 2 weeks, so this is a bit late. These are the three cars I’m keeping from the set.
Today’s LotRS comes to you from Narita Airport outside of Tokyo. Time to head home! Expect a massive HAWL post in the next couple of days ;)
Car week is over, I hope everyone had a good time! I’m writing this on Sunday night (the 18th) because I’m leaving for Japan in a couple of days and will probably not be able to post much, but I wanted to show a group shot of my selections and say that I had a ton of fun getting these cars out for photographs. And…
Ohayou from Osaka! Japan is awesome and I can’t wait to tell you guys about the die-cast hunting here. I haven’t even really gone out of my way for die-cast yet and still have seen some cool stuff! This Tomica Civic Type R came from a toy store in Hiroshima a couple of days ago, but it seemed like a good idea to…
You want colors? I got your colors.
