I didn’t see anyone posting this even on Kotaku (even if its late by 2 days...) so here’s the official trailer.
Eldritch, a delightful first-person action game that mixes up roguelike and immersive sim elements with the writings of H. P. Lovecraft and Minecraft-esque graphics, released way back in 2013.
Lovecraftian is a term referencing the literary works of horror author H. P. Lovecraft. It’s a word you’ve almost certainly heard if you play horror video games. Searching the term on Steam alone produces a whopping 220 hits. The problem is, there is a lot of confusion about what exactly Lovecraftian means.
About a month ago, I wrote an article where I shared my 5 most played games on Steam. Since I’m really scraping the bottom of the barrel for these final days of the SixTAY Days of Writing, I thought I’d provide an update on that list as it has since changed and that initial post was also part of this writing challenge.
It’s been a couple years since I began almost exclusively PC gaming. I was exclusively a console gamer for the longest time, but that changed when I started college pursuing a degree in game design. Given the field I was going into, having a powerful enough computer to run games was sort of a requirement. Plus I made…
By now, I’m willing to bet you’ve heard about Valve’s recent decision to “allow everything onto the Steam Store, except for things that we decide are illegal, or straight up trolling.” This decision comes shortly after Valve threatened to remove games with sexual content, and more recently Valve’s removal of a game…
Steam, Valve’s PC games distribution platform, was created in 2002 to sell Valve products while streamlining the process to make it more convenient for gamers. Today, Steam leads a large part of the industry, controlling the majority of PC sales and influencing gaming as a whole. Sixteen years later, Steam is starting…

Another sale but the same dilemma: how to figure out what to buy? Let me give you some pointers about which games you will actually play instead of dumping them on the ever-growing backlog - all of them costing less than your lunch. Some of them might be a bit older, but none of them have aged badly.
I woke up this morning, bummed. The news informed me that a certain world superpower decided that planet Earth isn’t worth looking after. Normally it’s news that only affects them, but things are getting very real now. It may not save the planet, but GOG released some news that made me completely forget that it’s hot…
Whenever the topic of book recommendations comes up, I always suggest a work by Brandon Sanderson. I may’ve gotten my childhood fantasy literature fix courtesy of Brian Jacques and J.K. Rowling, and my intro to more adult sci-fi/fantasy via Jim Butcher’s “Dresden Files” series, but the most well-thumbed book on my…
Many have compared Mr. Shifty to another top-down action game that goes by the name of Hotline Miami. Let me be blunt right off the bat: Mr. Shifty is no Hotline Miami.

Hey guys, in recent years i’ve been pretty disappointed by the turnout of the steam sale. Ever since they got rid of ‘flash sales’ it feels like the deals just haven’t been quite as good. This year however, after beating my way through a good portion of my backlog, I picked up a whole bunch of games between presents…
Arc System Works has announced Double Dragon IV for PS4 and PC (Steam). The game is being made with a few of the original staff for Double Dragon.
Like many of you, Rogue One has me at maximum Star Wars excitement levels, so I wanted to play a Star Wars game I had never played before. I grabbed myself a copy of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition and sat down to ruin some Stormtroopers’ day.
A new entry to the Atelier series has been announced a few days ago, right at the end (1:18): A Steam logo can be seen.
Albino Lullaby is a game that bills itself as a “horror exploration game” that doesn’t rely on gore or jump scares to sell itself. It succeeds.
It’s a dungeon Crawler where you can make your own party in a similar vein to that of Demon Gaze another title on the vita. Here are a few pictures of the Collector’s Edition I got from when the game released on PS Vita awhile back.
