Archduke Maxyenko and ForSweden, thoughts?
I guess this is how it begins. I actually got it somewhat on accident; I found it on eBay and bid. And no one else did so it’s mine! Came from Portugal which was pretty cool. Now I want more. RIP wallet
The station wagon is a body style that is increasingly associated with luxury marques and segments in America today, but its roots obviously harken back to the days of rudimentary practicality and outright load-lugging capacity.
The day of the Wildcard! Finally I can show a 5-pot, just as I showed a bit on Loophole Week Wednesday. But, as you see the mighty V60 by MBX, you already know what direction this is heading. But give me a break, as it’s Wildcard day anyway. And... It’s not just a 5-pot. It’s being helped by...
V10s... So Loop Hole Week LaLD Engine Week continues, will 2 straight fives positioned in a “V” make a V10?
I’m with jobjoris today, as my 4-banger is a sealed resin model (but the wheels do turn as well!).
Hi everyone! I know I’m late to the LaLD Car Week 2018. Thought I’d just share pics of the Matchbox Volvo V60 wagon in Rebel Blue (as I don’t have any new acquisitions yet). It’s a nice blue, don’t you think? :)
Found on TheBrothersBrick, this Lego Volvo 242DL needs no presentation. This build is by LegoJalex, and he absolutely nailed it!
I picked up two more Matchbox Lesney Editions over the past few weeks, bringing my total of Lesney Edition pieces to .. three!
I’ve been meaning to put these two together ever since I got Matchbox’s E430 from a recent eBay purchase! The Audi may be a sports-oriented performance longroof and the Mercedes a comfort-oriented pragmatic longroof, but together they make about the perfect dream garage!
Just some quick wintery photos I took last night of the Volvo.
Sadly too late for Wagon Wednesday, but this is my main new build that I’m entering into Matchbox’s custom contest, a father-son snowboarding trip themed Volvo V60.
(Edit: I’m sleepy and posted this to Oppo instead of LaLD. Excuse the oversight and enjoy a few photos of blue estates.)
My parents are out today to go to San Francisco so I had some alone time with our two wagons—perfect for taking pictures! First, though, I gave my V50 a wash and a slight grille swap (at least for now!)
Volvo 760 saloon by Corgi Toys reporting for duty on Swedish Saturday!
I made the mistake of stepping into a Target again on Saturday. My V50 was clinically low on oil (it’s been leaking, again) and I had removed the left headlight unit to change the bulb so I took my dad’s V70 for a parts run and stopped by Target on my way to Autozone.
Just received it, and what an awesome casting this is. Volvos for life!
Swedes love their METAL music :] Lol XC90 is the brave clasher here going against the pit. Brave! Just like standing in the center of a wall of death.
In the late 1980's to early 1990's there seemed to be a huge market for midsize executive European saloons. If you wanted one, you could have just about any flavor from Renault to Jaguar, Vauxhall to Alfa Romeo, Ford to BMW, and anything in between. Of course, many countries were represented in this line-up with…
