Hey, would you look at that! It’s another appearance of TAY’s Theme Week : that thing that involves writing and sharing thoughts that relate to a given theme. How quaint! What could the theme possibly be this time?
Round One was all about Love .
Round Two asked for your Summer Gaming Memories .
Introducing this latest Theme: Your Favorite Game’s Music.
Not your favorite game music. This time, think about your favorite game or games, and talk about the music from the game/s. It’s a nice way to think and talk about your favorite game in a different way (or maybe you have before, that’s still cool). What if you didn’t like your favorite game’s soundtrack? What if it didn’t have music to talk about? Then that’s an idea too, right?
It could be a defining song. It could be songs. It could be a sound. A playlist you wanted to share. Whatever it is, that’s the fun of this Theme Week! Talk about it how you’d like.
I know that many of you are hard-pressed for time, or not feeling very motivated. It happens. It sure does to me. But I’m hoping we can do something together to encourage our fine fellow TAY’ers that hitting the publish button isn’t so daunting. Or that getting to know your fellow TAY’ers a little bit more shouldn’t be a scary situation. Or simply to let you all know and each other that all of your contributions matter.
The rules of Theme Week are simple: Write, Art, Discuss, Encourage.
The Theme, as mentioned, is Your Favorite Game’s Music. You can write, spark topic discussions or talk about that song you just can’t get out of your head. Or the one that’s just so bad. Good games can have bad soundtracks! It can be about something else!
What else can that something be? Here are ideas and some things to get you started:
Let’s set this Theme Week to run during the week of October 9 through October 15th. That’s quite the while to plan. If you wanted to do something sooner, no one will stop you! Theme week runs in conjunction with whatever you want to write or had planned. And again, this isn’t mandatory but rather a fun writing prompt for the community to get involved.
Tag your articles with the following, “TAY Theme Week” and “TAY Theme Week: Music”, along with whatever other relevant tags.
Most of all: Have fun! Looking forward to what we come up with.
